At The Wilson’s we serve one hell of a specialty. Our Original US Prime Rib is of exceptional quality, imported from the United States and prepared in an ornate way. Learn more here and maybe even give it a try.

BEEF SCIENCE

The Prime Rib is prepared using the “Sous Vide process“: it is cooked up to 7 hours in a 54° celsius warm water bath.

After we rub our special mix of spices into the meat, it is grilled and put in the hot oven at 220 degrees for 10 minutes where it forms its incomparable crust.

We recommend enjoying the cut medium-rare: tender and full of flavour.

THE ORIGINAL

Our Prime Rib stems purely from beef that originates from a crossing of American Longhorn, European Angus and United Kingdom Hereford cattle.

The meat we use comes from free range cattle bred on the huge grasslands of North America. Lots of time to grow and a special diet are key factors for the excellent quality of the meat.

A fine marbling of fat is essential for the full US Prime Rib flavour. The taste is buttery-creamy, a palate-melting texture is also characteristic.

The meat quality grade is determined considering factors like tenderness, juiciness, and flavour. They also include carcass maturity, firmness, texture, colour, and the amount and distribution of marbling within the meat.

Supreme tenderness and taste through very pronounced marbling of the meat

High quality meat, slightly less marbling than Prime

Leaner than Prime or Choice, fairly tender, not as much juiciness and flavour
